History
The scripture that began the birth of this ministry is found in Heb. 5:11-14. In this scripture the
writer takes a pause in his discussion and laments over the fact that his audience was unable to
receive the deeper revelation that God wanted to release to them, because they were immature. The
believer must be at certain levels of maturity in order to receive and understand the deep things of
God (1 Cor 13:18). The other point that the writer brings out in this scripture is the fact that the
people of God should be at a level to teach others, implying that at this time in their saved lives they
ought to have possessed a certain level of spiritual understanding. The fact is that in the Body of
Christ many believers have been saved long enough to teach others but instead need teaching
themselves, therefore causing retardation in the flow of the Spirit. The Spirit of God is calling the
people of God to a higher level. It is time to grow and experience the richness of the deep things of
God. This reality is at the core of what New Wineskin Church has been commissioned to do. We
are a place where we will stretch the people of God and challenge them to move out of their comfort
zone on their way to becoming the disciple makers that God desires them to be. As the people of
God grow, they will be able to more effectively minister to those who do not yet have a relationship
with God.

The Name
The Issue
The name New Wineskin was birthed out of the prompting of God and subsequent confirmation
that He released. The book, “The Complete Wineskin”, was used as confirmation about the
structure and style of the ministry to be implemented at New Wineskin Church. God wanted the
ministry that He was preparing to birth to become part of the new wineskin that He was forming in
the body of Christ. The bible declares in Lk. 5:37-38 that no man puts new wine into old
wineskins. The Spirit of the Lord is preparing to pour out new wine into the body of Christ. A
greater anointing is coming to the body of Christ in this last day. Therefore, He needs to prepare the
new wineskin first. Only those believers that are mature will receive it
